This whole piece describes a dream I had in full detail that reflected a lot of my personal conflicts at the time.
I got in touch with someone from my past,and somehow seeing her again triggered the memories of another person I've lost in my life.Sappy story aside,I learned that the metaphor of the rain in the dream was that even if we did see each other again,the problems that separated us would never fade.

But somehow the rain pierced everything we threw at it
